Discovering bike beauty.

I always admire people, who just grab his/her bike, take whatever and go for a bike ride on their own. I´m in some ways jealous, that I´m not the type like that. It has been scaring me a though of me going on my own somewhere on bike and the only bike partner is a map. (I suck in reading maps) Today somehow changed and I got enough courage to take my bike and ride.

In the afternoon, when I came home after great swimming with my friend Annie, nobody was home, weather is fabulous, what I gonna do? Pretty clear answer -bike- with few more questions- Where should I go? Who should I go with? Do you really wanna go?  The only thing which showed up in my mind was- Let´s go!
I decided to go to a lake 25minutes away from my house. I´ve been there few times, so I shouldn´t loose any direction. It felt so great- sun was shining in your back, so many bikers in front of and behind you, nature all around.
When you´r alone on bike, your only competitor is/can be time. You´r trying your best to be somewhere as fast as your legs can treadle. But when I was on my way to the lake and listening to the singing birds, I realized that somebody´s behind me and want to overtake me. That just made my legs work even faster and ride out the one. It lasted about for 5minutes, that I was doing my best and the one was behind me. I thought that it should be really good sportsman, kind of the teenager, who´s crazy about bike. Well, when my speed wasn´t fast enough for the one, he just overtook me and I found out, that sportsman is actually around 65years old grandpa. Haha.
On the way between river and lake!
The rest of the journey was wonderful. I sat by the lake on a "private beach" (right Ashley?). The silent and view of beautiful, huge lake filled me up with energy and great mood. Perfect time to read Bible and write in my journal. Taking out a "normal" book was a sign to me, that my bike misses me and I should go far away. After 2 read pages of English book called „Be careful what you wish for“ came three kids in age around 14 to the tiny beach, where I was focusing on the book, and tried to drown each other. That was the time when I wished- no kids here, please. Another group of teenagers few meters away started to support those kids by yelling all over. Since that my reading ended up.
I was heading of direction to my house, when I found new good looking way around the lake and on the other side a river. I had to explore it! On that way I met two naked men, swimming and sunbathing by the river. Well, they didn´t even notice my presence, luckily! Haha. The way was a bit hard for my track-bike to go though, but it was totally worth it. Such a gorgeous sight!
A thing I have to mention is, that I didn´t even wanna go home. However I was looking around and what I didn´t see! A tall tree right in the middle of a field with a ladder behind. I didn´t care what time it is in the moment, just to get as close to the tree as possible! Finally I climbed the ladder and sat on violet high up situated tree bench. I felt like in my personal paradise. You could see forests, field, train, passing bikers but mainly HEAR the silent. It was the best suited while for me and God to have a serious convo. I´ve almost never spoken to God out loud, but over there on the bench I did. I told Him everything what makes my heart hurt and what I would like to change. It wasn´t  like dictation of conditions, I would rather call it more like giving suggestions for a shift in my life. So I hope He listened and didn´t press a "mute button". Haha.
So that´s pretty much it :) My bike day. I can insert this trip to a "successful bike time" folder. I´m not scared of going anywhere myself anymore, I would say, it´s maybe much better to have your own personal time on bike and discover undiscovered.
Go for this bike ride and I swear to you, that you will always have a great time no matter what, like seeing naked man by river, getting wet by kids around lake or just having interview with God...
