My American story continues. Maybe it´s better to say- starts. When I wrote about "my American dream becoming reality" for first but also the last time, I told you, that I wasn´t excited at all and super nervous. Well, situation changed. Listen.
It was Wednesday night, I would say almost midnight, when I was falling asleep after really long and busy day to get an energy for next day without school on the other hand filled with theater and cinema. A dream was coming to my sleepy mind, when my mobile phone rang. I thought who can be such a jerk, writing me in that godly hour. It wasn´t actually message, but email, whose ringing woke me up. Email from Amicus. I refused to read that, cause I was pretty sure, that organization things should and would be clever solve in better suited hours. So I put my cell phone back, passed out and didn´t care about US of A at that time.
Right in the morning I was getting ready, dressing up, eating breakfast and other common morning activities. I was in very difficult decision-making- if I should wear pony tail, which would perfectly fit with my black skirt or let my hair be in their nature look- when my mobile phone rang again. I was sure, that my brother sent me an message about having lunch together. Fault.(You can´t be sure anytime). Another email. Email named- "Hello from Texas!". A big sign "What a heck?!" was blinking in my head. After few read sentences I realized, that email introduces my American family, which lives in Texas, Dallas, Flower Mound and the "organization Amicus email" should tell me, that my family is already chosen for me! Tears came to my eyes and the only thing I had to do was to call my friend Peter and tell him about that awesome news. I woke him up, so he didn´t sound very overhearing and he didn´t even get, what I was talking about, I guess. But he had to be the first one, who I will share my news with.
All this caused, that I was late as usual, but it was totally worth it. I read whole email in tram. If someone was watching me, he would be surprised, why I have such a big smile on my face, hearing damped laugh or why tears are almost dropping all over. But till that time, I never knew, how emails can make you feel so up.
I would never say, that I can end up in lone star state- Texas. Being honest with you, I wished that. When whoever asked me, where I´m going to States, my answer was:"Well, I don´t know yet, but I would love to go somewhere, where is really warm weather. I would like to try Texas for ex." I just can´t wait to have summer for most the year!!
My American family- Laukoters- has five (and 1/2) members- Mum-Susan, Dad-Alf, oldest brother- Austin, older sister-Hayden, youngest sis- Gretchen & dog- Katie. After two weeks writing emails we skyped already and I can say- I´m excited as never.
I got to another level of my "American dream trip"- GO NOW. I´m still nervous about school, finding new friends and everything, I think, it takes time to get use to it and then I won´t be able to wait to get there. But I have few months left and during that time, so many interesting, exciting, awesome, funny, lovely, precious, incredible things can happen. I know, that I can´t leave now, cause there ARE still many stories to go though.
That´s all for now. Your Texas girl

Does "One way" road sign mean that you are not thinking of coming back?¨:D tom
